The Amazon Music team is looking for an experienced Senior UX Research Manager to join us and lead a team of UX researchers who are dedicated to improving the Amazon Music fan experience.

As a Senior UX Research Manager you will be responsible for supporting your team of UX researchers to dive deep to understand Amazon Music's customers, their needs, their desires, and to identify opportunities for new experience design and development work. You will be expected to develop relationships across the organization to influence strategy through foundational and strategic research. We need experienced research leadership to demonstrate the depth and breadth of impact that high quality, creative, and original research can have across a variety of customer scenarios.

Key job responsibilities
• Be a strong leader in a cross-functional team and define customer-centric approaches to envisioning and influencing the creation of Amazon Music experiences.
• Lead a team of researchers that inspire and inform design, prototyping and development, through insights from primary customer research, which include a mix of quantitative and qualitative methods.
• Confidently communicate complex concepts clearly and persuasively across different audiences and varying levels of the organization.
• Empower a team of researchers that can balance research autonomy with research collaboration and can multi-task in an agile environment.
• Foster the sharing and synthesis of customer insights across Amazon Music UX researchers and other customer data sources
• Effectively devise mechanisms to translate data and insights into strategy and design direction.
• Grow, coach, and empower a team of UX researchers.
• Continually learn, grow, and improve the craft of UX research.

About the team
Amazon Music is a premium Music and Audio streaming service that is focused on igniting fandom across a spectrum of music experiences, whether that's streaming audio, watching a live stream, going to festivals or supporting artist through purchasing artists merch. We are a full catalog on demand streaming service that is the #2 or #3 music streaming service in the world depending on the market. We offer customers thousands of titles across music and podcast to enjoy through their mobile app, Alexa enabled devices and other first and third-party devices. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• 10+ years as a UX Researcher utilizing research methods that include: field research, usability, focus groups, survey design, and data analysis including statistical measures.
• 7+ years of UX research management experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• MS or Ph.D. in Human Factors, Cognitive Psychology, Human Computer Design Engineering or related discipline.
• Excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal and analytical skills; the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and persuasively across different audiences and varying levels of the organization.
• An unfailing passion and capacity to advocate on behalf of our users.
• Experience with product innovation exploration research for new products and services or significant experience shifts on released products and services.
• User research or other experience from consumer-facing products like video, games, music, social media, etc.
• The ability to manage ambiguity, work autonomously, and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $179,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $296,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits. Salary Details
