Currently in beta in the US, Amp's evolving how people discover and share music. Create a show, call-in, or bop along to some tunes – no subscription, additional hardware, or editing needed.

As part of an agile team, you will be working in a startup atmosphere while being able to leverage the resources of a Fortune-500 company. Amp is on the bleeding-edge of consumer-facing products, where every team member is a critical voice in the decision-making process. We build systems that will be distributed around the world, spanning mobile apps and voice-forward experiences on Amazon Echo devices, powered by Alexa. Amp products support our mission of delivering audio entertainment in new and exciting ways that creators and listeners will love.

The Amp team is looking for a Principal Technical Operations Manager who has a solid record of thinking big and diving deep, strong bias for action, and a history of delivering results. You will leverage data and industry experience to make informed decisions and can advise and influence development teams and stakeholders who do not have the same business context or business perspective. This role is a highly cross-functional role working across business, product, engineering, and third-party vendors.

The right candidate will possess a strong product and program management background, have experience leading medium to large products and projects, and excel at written and verbal communications. You must be able to thrive and succeed in an entrepreneurial environment, and not be hindered by ambiguity or competing priorities. This means anticipating bottlenecks, making trade-offs and balancing the needs of the business versus technical constraints. You will be expected to have strong opinions about design and user experience, as well as the analytic background necessary to track adoption and performance of your program.

Key job responsibilities
In this role, you will:
• Develop and lead an automation strategy with the goal to drive operational efficiencies required for global scale.
• Identify build vs. buy solutions to meet the needs of a growing operations team. You will create sound business
• Influence without authority, ensuring 1P integrations are prioritized across product and engineering teams.
• Define the success metrics for features, tools, workflow solutions and track performance.
• Utilize metrics to deep dive into issues and uncover business and customer trends.
• Manage solutions through conception to launch and follow-up iterations, identifying dependencies and removing blockers.
• Write business justifications and develop financial models for strategic priorities
• Report on progress in weekly and monthly business reviews.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• 7+ years of professional work experience
• 7+ years of experience developing, leading, negotiating and executing corporate and/or business transactions
• Bachelor's Degree
• 10+ years of professional non-internship experience
• Experience driving direction and alignment with cross-functional teams
• Experience building, executing and scaling cross-functional programs
• Experience working cross-functionally with engineering, design, product, and project management counterparts to deliver products/services
• Experience using data and metrics to measure impact and determine improvements
• Experience in utilizing multiple 3rd party tools across multiple disciplines (e.g. Airtable, Intercom, Salesforce)
• Experience using Microsoft Excel to manipulate and analyze data
• Experience presenting metrics and progress to goal to senior leadership
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities: must effectively communicate with technical and non-technical people
• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Computer Science or related field

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Startup experience or similar experience requiring extensive ownership over implementation
• Basic SQL query experience strongly preferred, though not required
• Advanced degrees in Operations Management, Mathematics/Engineering, or an MBA with a quantitative focus
• Proven ability to influence others, facilitate agreement among stakeholders with different interests
• Proven track record of complex and creative problem solving and the desire to create and build new processes
• Excellent business judgment, strong written and oral communication skills, and a practical, common sense approach to getting things done.
