Job summary
The music streaming business is experiencing high growth globally, and especially in Japan. This role is a unique opportunity to be part of a music revolution, grow the listener community and subscriber count and invent new ways to engage Japanese customers. You will lead cross-functional initiatives, and will partner with global teams around the world.

Key job responsibilities
• Build outbound marketing programs driving high value actions, while improving channel KPIs
• Identify valuable trends/opportunities through data analysis, mapping the customer journey, defining customer segmentation, and ideation
• Manage and prioritize various initiatives including testing, experiments and product/feature launches
• Monitor, analyze and report on performance of outbound initiatives and recommend ways to scale or optimize
• Drive data-driven experiments in marketing campaigns that innovates user experience; scale and drive automation of winning experiments that greatly improves user experience
• Represent the Japan customers and business teams with the global product team to ensure global plans include local insights and make product/feature recommendations

A day in the life
We are looking for a Marketing Manager - Digital, who will own our App Marketing strategy for Amazon Music. You will own Digital marketing across Email, Push Notifications and Direct Mail, three key drivers of acquisition and engagement. You will drive the Amazon Music experience in Japan across all service tiers: Amazon Music Unlimited, Prime Music, and Amazon Music Free. This includes driving engagement across multiple lifecycle stages as well as creating acquisition programs and experiments for acquisition of new music customers. In this role you will collaborate with local and global cross-functional teams on new feature launches, automation, and music or podcast initiatives. A successful leader will have a builder mentality, be able to think strategically, prioritize, and deliver recommendations.
Overall, you will be challenged to push boundaries, propose and execute new ideas, and establish best practices for Amazon Music. This includes creating new ways to acquire and engage customers and continuously improving the customer experience.

About the team
Amazon Music is focused on building a personalized, curated, and seamless music experience. We want to help our customers enjoy their favorite artists, discover new ones, enjoy podcasts, experience livestreaming performances, find their favorite playlists, watch music videos, and more… We build systems that are distributed on a large scale, spanning our music apps, web player, and Alexa devices.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor's degree
• 6+ years of marketing experience with relevant work experience in digital marketing for consumer products and services
• Extensive digital marketing experience with consumer facing brands, including integrated campaign management, customer acquisition, promotions, and/or channel marketing
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills
• Ability to deliver on multiple deadlines and prioritize compulsively as a self-directed individual, comfortable with a fast-paced, ambiguous environment
• Business level English and Native Japanese

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• MBA/advanced degree
• Experience with subscription business, consumer products, media and/or e-commerce
• Basic knowledge and experience with web authoring and marketing automation tools
• Intuition for customer communication voice; adept at marketing copy writing
• Passion for music and technology and the confluence of the two
