In this role, you'll have the opportunity to influence how Amazon Music engages fans, artists, and creators on a global scale. You'll be part of a rapidly growing music streaming business, especially in Japan. This is your chance to contribute to a music revolution, grow our listener community, and invent new ways to engage Japanese customers. You'll lead cross-functional initiatives and partner with global teams worldwide.
Key job responsibilities
- Develop and execute mid-funnel campaign Go-To-Market (GTM) for full-funnel campaigns on various platforms including Meta, Google, and YouTube by working closely with Paid Media team.
- Continuous A/B testing in paid media channels including creative imagery, messaging and CTAs.
- Collaborate closely with programming, technical, finance, creative and design teams within Amazon to manage simultaneous time-sensitive projects.
- Drive data-driven experiments in marketing campaigns that innovates user experience; scale and drive automation of winning experiments that greatly improves user experience.
- Identify valuable trends/opportunities through data analysis, mapping the customer journey, defining customer segmentation, and ideation.
- Manage and prioritize various initiatives including testing, experiments and product/feature launches.
- Monitor, analyze and report on performance of outbound initiatives and recommend ways to scale or optimize.
- Represent the Japan customers and business teams with the global product team to ensure global plans include local insights and make product/feature recommendations.
A day in the life
We are looking for a seasoned Marketing Manager who will own digital marketing activities across Email, Push Notifications, and Paid Media. You'll drive the Amazon Music experience in Japan across all service tiers, collaborating with local and global teams on new content (music and spoken-word) initiatives, feature launches, and automation.
A successful leader will have a builder mentality, be able to think strategically, prioritize, and deliver recommendations. Overall, you will be challenged to push boundaries, propose and execute new ideas, and establish best practices for Amazon Music. This includes creating new ways to acquire and engage customers and continuously improving the customer experience.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification
- 5+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience
- Extensive digital marketing experience with consumer facing brands, including integrated campaign management, customer acquisition, promotions, and/or channel marketing
- Excellent time management skills: ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously
- Exceptional analytical skills with a strong bias towards decision making based on data
- Advanced Excel user able to use it to analyze, extract insights and present recommendations
- Ability to communicate in Japanese fluently and English at business level as the role requires interactions in both languages at each required level with local and international stakeholders
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in the entertainment, media industry and/or subscription business.
- Basic knowledge and experience with web authoring and marketing automation tools
- Experience managing external partners to develop marketing programs
