Amazon Music Japan is seeking an experienced Label Relations Manager to build and maintain strong partnerships within the Japanese music industry. This role requires an seasoned professional who is high-performing, collaborative, process-oriented, and focused on results.

As a Label Relations Manager, you will contribute to the organization's vision to evolve from a streaming-centric approach to a comprehensive, vertically integrated music business model. You will work to develop robust relationships with labels, driving awareness, acquisition, and engagement for key strategic priorities.
Additionally, you will work to diversify revenue streams by leveraging original content, ecommerce, and innovative promotional ideas that benefit both artists and Amazon Music customers.

Key job responsibilities
- Cultivate strong relationships with music labels to unlock unique opportunities for comprehensive promotions, delivering high-value customer actions for streaming and commerce monetization.
- Serve as Amazon's ambassador among music labels. Educate them on our value propositions, while implementing regular feedback loops and open communication channels to better understand their needs and foster trust and collaboration.
- Capitalize on the growing popularity of Japanese music genres for global markets by partnering with internal and external stakeholders.
- Enhance the team's operational efficiency by automating repetitive tasks, freeing up time for strategic and high-impact work.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of experience in the music industry
- Strong Communication skills with Business. Professional level fluency in Japanese and Business level English (verbal and written).
- A proven track record of setting and exceeding aggressive goals.
- Proven ability to influence and collaborate with external label partners, artist managers, and artist agencies.
- Strong project management skills, including prioritizing, scheduling, time management, and meeting.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- A network across the Japanese music industry.
- Functional experience involving A&R, artist relations, artist marketing, editorial, or account management.
- Knowledge of the music landscape in Japan, including music services, business models, and content restrictions.
- The ability to consistently make good decisions through a combination of analysis, experience, and judgment.
- Relentlessly high standards and a high attention to detail.
