QA Engineer - Development

Job Description

Welcome to Amazon Games Bucharest! Joining the ranks of the existing development teams in Orange County, Montreal, San Diego and Seattle, we're excited to expand Amazon Games' commitment to creating and publishing incredible games, and we're on the lookout for talented folks to join us as we grow. We are looking for an experienced quality assurance professional with a track record of delivering QA services on both in development & live titles. In this role, you will join the development team and QA partners, as you will bridge the gap between development and quality assurance, ensuring the highest standards of software quality throughout the development lifecycle.

Key job responsibilities
- Smoke tests, base verification prior to handoff to Functional QA.
- Build test plans for standalone feature/content functionality.
- Identify, document, and track bugs and issues, working closely with developers
- Own feature functionality overview and changes, and test readiness towards Functional QA.
- Support and design collaboration processes and setup with Functional QA.
- Acts as bridge with Central QA: insight on hot spots, test requests, defect reporting workflows.
- Provide reliable builds and test information to Functional QA

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in automation testing
- Experience in manual testing
- Experience in Games Industry (supporting title Development, Release, or Live Ops)
- Experience working closely with development and business teams to communicate problem impacts and to understand business requirements

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in gathering test requirements to create detailed test plans and defining quality metrics to measure product quality
- Experience scripting or coding
