As Production Director, you will guide, plan, organize, and support the overall development of a game. You will oversee production processes and lead overall scheduling and tasking activities, with the goal of maximizing the team's efficiency, while removing roadblocks and managing dependencies, as well as ensuring their well-being. You have solid project management skills and have an expert level knowledge of common management tools and methodologies. You use your communication skills to collaborate effectively with all the teams involved. You always keep player expectations at the center of your decision-making process, thereby guaranteeing results and game of high quality.

- Collaborer avec les producteur• rices pour mettre en œuvre des processus organisationnels transversaux et s'assurer que les outils sont correctement mis en place et maintenus à jour ;
- Participer aux activités de révision avec la direction et les développeur• euses dans tous les domaines sous votre responsabilité ;
- Développer et maintenir un ensemble de KPI pour évaluer et suivre les progrès ;
- Créer un environnement positif et inclusif, en accord avec les valeurs du studio et de l'organisation;
- Travailler en étroite collaboration avec les partenaires juridiques et financiers, le cas échéant, pour mettre en place des contrats ou des ordres de travail et soumettre des factures.

Responsibilities
- Define the scope of the entire project, creating a high-level roadmap and timeline. Establish its main deliverables and key milestones through partnering with game leadership;
- Set development strategies and budget;
- Anticipate and identify risks as well as mitigations to overcome;
- Develop clear communication channels and support multidisciplinary teams to deliver all aspects of the game's scope;
- Establish the development system and tools to be used by producers and leads, using task management software and scheduling techniques that are a blend of agile development and common game content development methodologies;
- Partner with the Producers to implement transversal organizational processes and ensure tools are properly set up and kept up to date;
- Participate in review activities with Directors and Developers in all areas under your responsibility;
- Develop and maintain a set of KPIs to assess and track progress;
- Create a positive, inclusive environment, in line with the values of the studio and organization;
- Work closely with legal and finance partners as required, to set up contracts or work orders, and submit invoices for co-development.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Basic Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in production management and supporting teams in the context of game production and/or operations;
- Expert level knowledge of common project management tools and methodologies (JIRA, agile development, and others);
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, in French and English; due to the nature of the role which requires interaction with other Amazon entities globally and with Amazon employees and stakeholders in other provinces in Canada, bilingual French and English is required for this position.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with a multidisciplinary team of artists, designers, animators and developers;
- Experience with project management and associated tools and methodologies in the context of video game production and operation;
- Knowledge of game industry trends and enjoyment of playing games;
- Experience working with content pipelines including concept, modelling, audio, VFX and external partners;
- Experience in improving workflows, production and operational processes.
