En tant que Développeuse ou Développeur de jeux backend, vous jouez un rôle essentiel dans la création et le support des services en ligne nécessaires pour le succès de notre nouvelle IP. Vous êtes responsable de la conception, de l'architecture et de la mise en œuvre des systèmes dorsaux (backend) qui permettent la connexion et l'interaction des joueurs et des joueuses, en assurant leur résilience et évolutivité. As a Game Backend Developer, you play a key role in creating and supporting the online services required for the success of our new IP. You are responsible for the design, architecture and implementation of the backend systems that enable players to connect and interact, while ensuring their resilience and scalability. Working with multidisciplinary teams, you develop tools for continuous integration and deployment of services and ensure a smooth and reliable gaming experience.

Key job responsibilities
Responsibilities
- Gather requirements and feedback to propose, implement and maintain solutions and functionality for key game systems and features;
- Work with colleagues to ensure the reliability, performance and scalability of the game feature ecosystem;
- Develop and improve tools to measure, monitor and log service performance, health and availability;
- Implement tools and practices to enable the integration, distribution and continuous deployment of online services and components required for the game (CI/CD);

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Basic Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience delivering code in languages such as GO, C++ and/or C#
- 3+ years of experience developing backend features for AAA video games
- Expertise in restful API development, AWS and database design
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related technical field
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, in French and English; due to the nature of the role that requires interaction with other Amazon entities globally and with Amazon employees and stakeholders in other provinces in Canada, bilingualism French and English is required for this position.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience developing backend features for AAA video games in a live environment
- Experience with Unreal 5 or similar game engine
- Live operations experience, especially on GAAS titles
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively on shared projects with designers, artists, testers, and other developers
