Your New Role
Key responsibilities include overseeing day-to-day operations of Production Accounting and Finance for Adult Swim, including direct supervision of freelance Production Accountants. This role also serves as the key contact for Adult Swim's Production teams, Corporate Finance, Accounting, and Corp Tax.
Your Role Accountabilities
• Lead Cash and P&L forecasting and reporting for five departments. Ensure costs are in line with production budgets, greenlights, and company targets. Monitor R&Os.
• Lead production cost reporting process for Development (30+ projects), Production (20+ projects), and Smalls/Digital (20+). Ensure production costs are in line with greenlight, budget, and network programming forecast.
Oversee freelance Production Accountants from onboarding to wrap.
• Review production budgets and funding schedules for new productions. Review third-party cost reports, identify areas of concern, and lead audits when necessary.
• Collaborate with Corp Finance on Greenlights and LRP budgets. Collaborate with Corp Tax and Production to estimate and track Production Incentives (domestic and international).
• Business partner to department head with a focus on process evaluation/improvement, upgrading reporting/business modeling, and leading team in special projects and ad hoc analysis and reporting.
Qualifications & Experience
• 5+ years of Finance Management in production/entertainment/media
• 3+ years of experience Production Accounting (animation preferred but not required)
• 1 years of supervisory experience preferred
• Bachelor's required. Accounting or Finance degree preferred
• Advanced knowledge of the following: production accounting, forecasting, analysis and business reporting, and Excel.
• Proficient with production accounting and budgeting software (Global Vista, Smart Accounting/Smart Time, Movie Magic Budgeting), PeopleSoft, Hyperion, and SAP.
• Analytical skills, attention to detail, time management, communication skills, ability to work in a matrixed environment, and ability to build strong working relationships with people from diverse backgrounds.
