Your Mission
We're looking for an experienced Communications Lead who will help identify social conversations and community discussions, engage on social media platforms and develop/execute real-time communication strategies around issues-driven live services.
The position requires high-level organizational skills as well as creativity, deep PC and video game technical knowledge, a thorough understanding of data analytics and a passion for gaming, including detailed familiarity with Call of Duty.
The ideal candidate will be extremely Internet-savvy with a penchant for organic community engagement. This person must be able to manage a comprehensive social publishing schedule that is interwoven with priorities from the developers.
This is a full-time opportunity embedded within the development and technical teams as part of a cross-studio team supporting the best-selling Call of Duty franchise.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Priorities can often change in a fast-paced environment like ours, so this role includes, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities:
• Stay plugged into the latest topics and trends on social
• Support the Call of Duty community across various social platforms including, but not limited to: X/Twitter, Instagram, Discord, Reddit, TikTok, Facebook, Twitch, and YouTube
• Collaborate across Call of Duty studio communications teams to develop dynamic real-time communications
• Engage and communicate with players, creators, and the wider social community on behalf of live services on issues-driven topics through potential 1:1 engagement
• Play an integral role in the ongoing development and day-to-day execution of Call of Duty issues-driven topics
• Identify opportunities to engage in real-time with fact-based, verified information and updates
• Embed directly within development and technical security teams to represent and contribute toward content strategy and studio communications, including monitoring conversation and strategic social media calendars and weekly analytics reporting on community sentiment, concerns, and suggestions
• Execute well-polished communications strategy including managing content calendars/milestones, delivering content to cross-functional teams, and communicating with teams across Activision/Call of Duty franchise studios
• Analyze and report on content and program performance data to drive continuous improvement and optimization
• Overall ability to manage a spectrum of different projects and real-time communication needs
Player Profile
Minimum requirements:
• 5+ years of experience in social media as a Community Manager, Social Strategist, or Social Media Manager, with at least several in gaming
• Appetite for all things digital and social, up to date on the latest platforms and technologies, as well as a desire to identify opportunities for real-time, issues-driven communications
• Strong endemic gaming knowledge, specifically well-versed in Call of Duty
• Deep technical knowledge of PC/online networking, video game consoles and familiarity with kernel-based or computer-based technical security applications
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
• Working knowledge of social platforms and associated analytics programs and tools such as Sprinklr, Confluence, JIRA, YouTube, Instagram, and Facebook, as well as each platform's native analytics tools
• Detail-oriented, self-directed skills including ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously while remaining communicative with teams, including adaptability to fluid and last-minute changes
Extra Points:
• Experience with working cross-departmentally and/or with 3rd-party agencies/partners
• Bachelor's degree in creative writing, communications, journalism, public relations, or marketing
• Experience working with influencers
• Video production/publishing, graphic design and/or content creation experience
