Freelance Overnight WGA Newswriter, Good Morning America

Good Morning America is hiring a freelance WGA Newswriter to join the GMA Writing Team, working an overnight shift. This role involves both news and entertainment writing for broadcast. Newswriters work on celebrity, health and lifestyle segments, as well as news VOs and debriefs. We are looking for someone with a passion for both news and entertainment who can spot a great story and develop it into a compelling segment for our air.

Responsibilities:

Writers work closely with segment producers and the booking team to develop on air copy for the anchors. Conduct research and pre-interviews on guests and segment topics. Write succinct scripts to meet segment length restrictions.

Basic Qualifications:

Must be a member of the WGA union. Familiar with Inews.

Required Education

Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
