Job Description
A24 is seeking a Temporary Junior Publicist to join our Los Angeles Publicity team until March 2025. This person will be a motivated self-starter skilled in multitasking, communication, and organization with 3 - 5 years of professional experience in film and/or television PR at a major studio, streamer, network, or agency.
This is a hybrid position and we are seeking a candidate who can work from A24's West Hollywood location.
Initial Responsibilities
• Provide support to Senior Publicist in strategic and tactical campaign PR efforts across A24's film slate.
• Manage select talent across all titles throughout campaigns and supervise coordinators in creating and distributing talent schedules, including arranging travel and accommodations and coordinating glam and styling.
• Work closely and maintain a strong relationship with talent reps to ensure open communication and smooth campaigns.
• Manage press day(s) logistics with agencies to incorporate marketing, distribution, home entertainment, domestic and international needs/requests.
• Coordinate, manage and update agency documents for film projects with Publicity Coordinators.
• Find new press opportunities and continue to grow at crafting pitches and arranging for coverage across all titles.
• Maintain and grow close working relationships with key media contacts across the evolving media landscape.
• Work closely with the Publicity (domestic and international), Grassroots and Events teams to ensure coordinated efforts for specialty projects that are additive to overall campaigns.
• Manage and organize key press materials, with coordinators, for film projects including but not limited to One Pagers, Key Set Images and Clips.
• Staffing of publicity related events: Covering talent at press and special screenings, press days/interviews, film festivals, and awards related events. This includes after-hours and weekend events.
Qualifications
• 3 - 5 years of professional experience in film and/or television PR at a major studio, network, or agency.
• Strong communication, writing and organizational skills.
• Consumer/awards press and talent/rep relationships.
• Awareness of cultural conversations and trends.
• Reliable and proactive, with extreme attention to detail.
• Social, humble, diligent, resourceful and enthusiastic team player.
• Creative thinker with team management experience.
This role is a temporary, W-2 position, working at least 40 hours per week. Our target monthly pay for this position is between $6,600 and $7,500. Actual starting salary within the range will depend on various considerations, including: work experience, skills, specializations, and training.
