TEGNA is a large, public media company with a portfolio that includes 64 TV stations, two podcast divisions, and multiple digital and streaming initiatives. We're committed to developing the next generation of media industry leaders. Our PAID internship program gives students an opportunity to explore career paths across WGRZ and TEGNA.

Participants will gain valuable real-world experience alongside some of the best journalists in Buffalo and Western New York, and have the chance to build a network that will be invaluable throughout their careers. Come join WGRZ in the adventure! This internship will begin in September and last through mid-December..

Requirements:
• Produce engaging content for all platforms, broadcast, digital, and social
• Use social media and other tools to understand audience's needs
• Demonstrate a desire to learn as much as possible about a career in media
• Assist as needed in the newsroom
• Work across departments including: news, production, sales and marketing

Job Requirements:

Requirements:
• Degree-seeking student currently enrolled at a college or university; preference is for juniors with a GPA of 3.0 or higher who will be rising seniors during their internship semester.
• Passion for storytelling
• Strong writing and social media skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• May be required to lift boxes up to 25 lbs.
