Radio & Streaming

The Radio & Streaming Department works with all country music radio stations and streaming platforms in the US to seek and secure airplay/playlisting, increase exposure, and provide promotional opportunities for Warner Music Nashville artist releases.

You will be one of two interns in the fast-paced Radio & Streaming Department, reporting directly to 4 department coordinators and 1 Executive Assistant.

As an intern for the Radio & Streaming department, your tasks will include things like:
• Updating one sheets and other internal informational documents
• Compiling and organizing data
• Assist in the planning/organizing of events
• Assist in organizing travel for staff, artists, and contest winners
• Assist in creation and shipment of large promotional mailings
• Assist in creation/maintenance of radio marketing resources: websites, e-blasts, & more
• Participate in industry events like CRS, CMA week, CMA Fest, etc.

Publicity

The publicity department at Warner Music Nashville, which currently comprises four full-time staff members, explores and secures television, print and digital media opportunities for the complete roster of artists. The intern will be working alongside their supervisor on projects that contribute to local media coverage and the multifaceted construction of artist press kits. They provide essential ground-level support to both the artists themselves as well as the members of the publicity team. Duties cover:
• Maintaining all of our press clippings, tracking where and when our artists are mentioned.
• Drafting and editing quote sheets and other artist resources that will then be utilized by departments throughout the company.
• Managing all artist tour press alongside the department assistant. This includes:
• Constructing media lists in markets across the nation
• Creating an effective and targeted pitch
• Servicing and following up on pitches
• Helping coordinate artist interviews
• Contributing to event preparation and occasional event assistance. Examples include: local media days both in and outside of the office, award shows, select artist concerts/showcases and more.
• Helping with special projects ranging from updating the publicity contact database to building focused media lists.

Touring

The International Marketing Department is responsible for all artist activity outside The United States and the liaison between the repertoire owner and label counterparts globally. This includes managing the international network for the Warner Music Nashville roster by building global release strategies with over fifty Warner Music Group label offices across the world. Strategies include managing all global marketing campaigns, radio and streaming growth, international publicity, global touring, and international sales for the WMN roster.

The Tour Development Department oversees the integration and growth of all live event business at Warner Music Nashville. It is responsible for adding value to all live events, including domestic and international tours, partner tours, and special events. We create touring opportunities, develop tour marketing plans, build strategic promo days on the road, re-envision ''radio tours'', and help set up promotions. Tour Development also secures tickets/M&G/AA passes for partners and staff and manages ticket budgets. By interfacing with the label, artist management teams, and talent agents, we ensure that all members of the artist teams are informed and engaged.

The intern will work across both International Marketing and Tour Development departments and gain a wide range of knowledge in both fields. Both departments work together so that the intern has equal time to maximize their experience with both teams and gains a strong foundation at the label.

Special Events / Partnerships

The Special Events division of this department is responsible for the strategic development and implementation of all signature events for Warner Music Nashville and its roster of artists. This department produces meaningful and impactful events that garner press and brand awareness for our artists and corporate label. We demonstrate a collaborative and results-oriented approach to lead and drive the production of unique and high-quality events that advance our sponsor partnerships in current and future artist and corporate endeavors.

The Partnerships division of this department is responsible for securing artist and label sponsorships and partnerships as well as developing cross-departmental opportunities in strategic marketing efforts. This division maintains a comprehensive understanding and awareness of competitive artists and trends in order to customize solutions and identify new business strategies for the organization. In addition, this department contributes to the creation of meaningful and impactful activations for Warner Music Nashville specific artist and label events.

The intern will provide support to the operation of the Special Events/Partnerships department. This role, under the direction of supervisors, will perform various duties in the coordination and production for events of all sizes including logistics for staff events, meetings, event design, special events, and public or corporate facing Warner Music Nashville functions. In addition, the intern will assist in the research and acquisition of new brand partnerships for all artist and label initiatives while helping maintain current brand and partnership relationships.

A&R

The A&R department scouts for artists and repertoire (the songs they sing). They are responsible for signing artists to the label and helping define their creative direction. They also help facilitate the creative and administrative process of recordin
