We currently have a fantastic opportunity to join our innovative and highly sought-after Finance team at Warner Music Group.

Job Title: Order to Cash- Digital Analyst Internship- Summer 2020

A little bit about our team:

The Finance department is based in WMG's Center of Excellence for Shared Services in Nashville, Tennessee (the ''Center''). The Center is currently home to team members affiliated with four different business service organizations: The U.S. Legal Shared Services organization (or ''LSS''), the U.S. Finance Shared Services organization (or ''FSS''), the Global Data Organization, and WEA Corp. (WMG's distribution company). Employees of the Center provide services to all of WMG's U.S. record labels, Warner Chappell Music Publishing, WEA Corp. and Alternative Distribution Alliance (WMG's distribution companies), and WMG's other U.S. business units.

The Order to Cash Team is a critical piece of the Finance arm of Warner Music Group. At our core, we ensure invoices are sent out and that money comes into the organization, but we do so much more! The team regularly engages with the full roster of labels and various teams throughout the organization to perform the accounts receivable, cash applications, collections, reconciliation and many other processes.

Why this could be your next big break:

In this role, you will build upon your financial acumen by assisting with the creation of invoices and credit memos, processing collections, performing research queries and analysis and recommending journal entries. You will also liaise with corporate divisions (for example: tax and legal) on various projects.

Here you'll get to:
• Perform credit checks and analysis for Digital Accounts;
• Review contracts for terms, advances, payments, reporting, and pricing for use in various tracking and reconciliation projects;
• Track and Invoice Advance/Guarantees, Formatting, and Prep Fees to insure timely payment;
• Prepare Un-recouped Advance schedule;
• Prepare Cash Forecasts for Digital Accounts and ensure they are reconciled with WEA Finance;
• Work with appropriate parties to secure payment, recoding, takedown, and proper reporting;
• Prepare accruals for outstanding unprocessed or revised sales reporting files;
• Work with customers to resolve account discrepancies and collect any additional monies;
• Track Digital Income for cash projection and application references;
• Maintain daily cash reporting, and other follow-up processes as needed; and
• Prepare invoices for pricing, manifest, suspense, compliance and/or product code issues, when required.

Rockstar candidates will meet the following requirements:
• Currently pursuing an Associates, Bachelor's, or Graduate degree
• Knowledge of the music industry with an understanding of various stakeholders groups, internal & external customers bases and the general structure of organizations within the industry;
• Be an Accounting or Finance major;
• Have excellent verbal and written skills;
• Have strong computer skills, including strong data entry skills (with an emphasis on accuracy) and strong proficiency using Microsoft Office's Excel, Word and PowerPoint applications; and
• Have the ability to work well independently and as part of a team.

It would be music to our ears if you also had:
• Understanding of Accounts Receivable, Credit, Collections, Claims Reconciliation, Retail Chargeback Deductions, Cash Application processes, Order Entry, Shipping and Receiving, Returns Processing and Advertising.
• Experience with software packages such as SAP, 4Hana, CashPro, etc.
