APPLICATION DEADLINE: Friday January 28 at 11:59 PM PST

The Broadcast Command Center Engineering intern works with engineers that play a critical role in the 24/7/365 operations of the business and the support to Production Technology customers. It involves Tier 1 support of all production across WarnerMedia as well as Quality Control of all feeds that enter the building for live production while also operating the function of ingesting commercials and promotional materials for broadcast.

Quality Control (QC):

As a critical component of all live News shows, an intern in QC is in constant communication with Control Room and Newsroom staff, ensuring the
highest quality for live video feeds going to air and feeds being recorded for later edit and archive. It is QC's responsibility to adjust audio and video levels to meet CNN's standards, synchronize lines, and adjust other aspect ratio or audio channel settings using an array of technology from waveform guides and vector scopes to powerful, integrated touch screen controls.

With eyes constantly on air, the intern works with the Operations Engineer to
monitor the ongoing quality of the outgoing path.

Broadcast Command Center (BCC):

The intern will work hand in hand with another Operations Engineer to provide front line IT support for broadcast workflows, to editors, and news and sports production staff from around the world. Whether that be in-person support at the bureau here in the CNN Center in downtown Atlanta, a reporter out in the field, or just an editor located at one of our many other bureaus.
