The Job

Warner Bros. Animation Inc. seeks an Animation intern for the WBA TV Production department. Position will gain insight and knowledge of the animation industry by way of practical learning experience and exposure to various facets of the business. Candidates applying for this role will have an opportunity work on one of the following upcoming productions: Gremlins, Tiny Tune Adventures, Jellystone or Harley Quinn.

The Daily
• You are interested in a career as a Storyboard Artist at an animation studio.
• Works closely with Storyboard Artist in partnership with Director and producer with visualizing and conceptualizing the story before executing.
• Photocopies & distributes scripts, storyboards, & all pre-production materials. Performs filing as needed.
• May have the opportunity to work on artistic projects if applicable.
• Updates and maintains internal artwork catalog.
• You have an online portfolio of your storyboards, thumbnails, comic strips and narrative illustrations demonstrating your understanding of storyboard fundamentals.
• Prepares storyboards for animatic import.
• Handles interoffice deliveries and distribution.
• Performs other job related duties as assigned.

The Essentials
• Some previous work experience preferred.
• Familiarity with animation industry helpful.
• High school diploma required. Must be enrolled in college.
• Knowledge of MAC, including MS Word, Excel and Outlook required.
• Proficiency with Adobe Photoshop required.
• Proficiency with FileMaker Pro preferred.
• Proficiency with ToonBoom Storyboard Pro preferred.
• Knowledge of file set-up, maintenance and filing procedures.
• Knowledge of basic math, spelling, grammar, punctuation, and English usage.
• Knowledge of report, letter, logs, etc. formats required.
• Some artistic ability preferred.
• Must have the ability to organize and schedule work effectively.
• Must have the ability to communicate effectively and tactfully with persons on all levels, in person and on the telephone.
• Must have the ability to pay close attention to detail and understand written and oral instructions.
• Must have the ability to work well under time constraints.
• Must be able to handle multiple tasks.
• Must be able to handle confidential information.

Internship Program
• Students must be currently enrolled in a college degree program for the full duration of the internship.
• Summer 2022 program dates are June 6th - August 12th (additional time frames are available for students in a university quarter system); must be available for full program duration
• Full-time schedule (40 hours/week).
• Company-issued computer provided for the duration of the internship program.
