Your New Role
This internship will be located in the Los Angeles area. The selected intern will be expected to join us in the office on a regular cadence based on the intern manager's in office schedule.
Warner Bros. Studio Operations, The Department of Safety & Environmental Affair (S&EA), acts as the interface between the studio and government agencies representing the enforcement of local, state, and federal codes regulating employee occupational and environmental health and safety (e.g. Cal/OSHA) and the environmental health of Warner Bros. Studio (EPA, SCAQMD, City of Burbank & LAC Dept. of Health).
The Studio Health and Safety Intern will assist with the overall department on all health and safety matter including but not limited to, reviewing studio policies, program, create training material, perform inspection, recordkeeping. We are a department that wears many hats and provide support in three major areas: Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Affairs, and Feature/TV Production Safety. No day is the same and the work we do is rewarding and impactful. Our department provides a crucial role in ensuring the safety of all personnel involved in our productions from the studio to on set, as well as maintaining compliance with industry safety standards and regulations.
Your Role Accountabilities
• Scan and organize historical documents into a Central Locations Database
• Organize equipment inventory / asset management system in our fall protection equipment room
• Assist in updating all health & safety documents (program, policies, and best practices)
• Assist in the development of a departmental safety officer program
• Assist in the development of training course videos, PowerPoint, and documentation in our Learning Management System
• Assist in the development and organization of our hazardous communication program including gathering safety data sheets
Qualifications & Experience
• Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in occupational health and safety, environmental health, environmental health & safety, industrial hygiene, or a related field (preferred)
• Some knowledge of Cal/OSHA or OSHA safety regulations
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with numerous team members
• Familiar with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint is a plus
• Must be actively enrolled in a n accredited college or university degree program for the full duration of the internship (proof of enrollment required )
• Must be a rising Junior or Senior Undergrad Student (18 years or older)
• Must be in academic good standing ( 3.0
or above GPA)

The duration of the summer program regardless of which start/end option is 11 weeks.
Program date options:
Option 1: June 3rd – August 16th
Option 2: June 10th – August 23rd
• Interns will be expected to work 35-40 hours per week in a hybrid capacity.
• Our internships are paid opportunities with a competitive hourly wage. Credit is not required; however, we will provide the necessary documentation for school credit if desired. Relocation is not provided.
• Interviewing will take place from March through mid-April. A WBD team member will contact you if your experiences and interests match an open internship position. Due to the high volume of applications, we are unable to give individual status updates.

In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensation, or a range thereof, for roles in locations where legally required. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The rate listed is just one component
of Warner Bros. Discovery's total compensation package for employees. Pay Rate: $19 per hour USD for undergrad interns, $25 per hour USD for graduate level interns.
