Spring Intern - WBD Global Archives and Preservations

Job Description

This internship will be located in the LA area. The selected intern will be expected to join us in the office on a regular cadence based on the intern manager's in office schedule.

The Warner Bros. Discovery Global Archives & Preservation Services offers 10-week paid internships throughout the year for currently enrolled Graduate students in ALA-accredited Library Science or Archive Programs.

Your Role Accountabilities
• Inventory, process, and catalog a collection of unique costumes, props, and/or art from any number of the studio's film and television titles
• Evaluate a collection of born-digital assets and create a preservation plan for the studio's extensive titles library
• Participate in department meetings, shadow manager, attend executive-level meetings
• Assist in the installation of asset-related exhibitions and marketing events
• Contribute to the creation of cataloging workflow for various archives
• Assist in storage and housing of unique costume, prop, and art assets
• Assist in metadata management of digital assets

Qualifications & Experience
• Experience using asset management systems or other structured databases
• Experience handling media or archival collections
• Demonstrated interest in working for a studio or corporate archive
• Experience using Microsoft Office
• Must be actively enrolled in a n accredited college or university degree program for the full duration of the internship (proof of enrollment required )
• Must be a rising Senior or Graduate Student (18 years or older)
• Must be in academic good standing ( 3.0
or above cumulative GPA)
• Warner Bros. Discovery will only consider candidates who are presently authorized to work for any employer in the United States and who will not require work visa sponsorship from Warner Bros. Discovery now or in the future in order to retain their authorization to work in the United States. Candidates currently on any student or exchange visa, including F-1 CPT, F-1 OPT, J-1, M-1, etc., will not be eligible for the internship program.

Program dates:

Start Date: January 2 7 th

End Date: April 1 8 th
• Interns will be expected to work 16-24 hours per week in a hybrid capacity.
• Our internships are paid opportunities with a competitive hourly wage. Credit is not required ; however, we will provide the necessary documentation for school credit if desired. Relocation is not provided .
• Interviewing will take place from
October through early December . A WBD team member will contact you if your experiences and interests match an open internship position. Due to the high volume of applications, we are unable to give individual status updates.

In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensation for roles in locations where legally required. Pay Rate: $25 per hour USD for graduate level interns.
