VMG Internship Program

VICE MEDIA GROUP INTERNSHIP PROGRAM

The VICE Media Group Internship Program provides a unique learning opportunity for undergraduate and graduate students interested in careers in the media and entertainment industry and related fields. VICE is seeking bright, creative, and hard-working interns to play pivotal roles across various departments.

Interns will be offered an unmatched, behind-the-scenes learning experience in journalism, production, design, editing, and more. Though interns are mentored and work within specific departments, they can explore all aspects of the business through speaker presentations, company events/programs, and networking opportunities.

Interns will both shadow and work alongside VMG professionals. They will attend department and company-wide meetings and events and participate in weekly lunch and learn programs explicitly designed for participants.

As VMG is still working remotely, the summer intern session will be remote as well. This paid program will be full-time (40 hours a week over ten weeks). To be eligible for the program, candidates must be currently enrolled as undergraduates (Juniors and Seniors preferred) or graduate students.

VICE MEDIA GROUP INTERNSHIP ROLES

VICE DIGITAL INTERNSHIP: You will assist the digital team with our high-volume news and culture website and day-to-day operations. You will be responsible for supporting us through transcribing, researching, fact-checking, copy editing, video production, and maintaining our website. We seek students interested in social media, engineering, digital and video production, and digital editorial.

VICE NEWS INTERNSHIP: You will support a wide variety of VICE News Productions from long-form documentaries to recurring franchises and breaking news. You will work closely with VICE News editors and producers on researching, pitching, developing stories, setting up logistics, and more. We seek students interested in video production and editorial.

VICE TV INTERNSHIP: You will support the VICE TV team with researching, creating briefs, brand strategies, statistics, and developing new and creative ideas. You will work closely with VICE TV producers and the development team. We seek students interested in communications, business development, and media production.

VICE MARKETING AND COMMUNICATION INTERNSHIP: You will support the Marketing and Communications team with digital strategy, social media, digital marketing, analytics and help VICE manage its overall relationship with its audience and the press. Candidates should have a demonstrable background in various social platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, Snapchat, Twitter, TikTok, etc. We seek students interested in communications, marketing, and social media.

VICE STUDIOS INTERNSHIP: You will support the Film team in the area of development, production, and post-production. You will assist with script and book coverage, oversee internal tracking documents, and you will have the opportunity to contribute to team brainstorm sessions and researching ''up and coming'' talent and filmmakers. We seek students with interest in Film, Filmmaking, documentary, and production.

PROGRAM QUALIFICATIONS:
• You are 18 years of age or older.
• You are enrolled in an accredited undergraduate or graduate college/university.
• You can commit to working full-time (40 hours per week) for ten weeks.
• You are legally authorized to work in the US and live in one of the following states: California, New York, Texas, Florida, Washington DC, Minnesota, Illinois, Washington, Louisiana, or Michigan.
