Job Description
Universal Music Group 2025 Summer Internship Program: UMLE/UMLA (Onsite: FL/CA)
Program Eligibility:
• Currently enrolled at an accredited two or four-year college/university in the United States, pursing an undergraduate, graduate and/or law degree
• Graduating between Spring 2025 - Fall 2027
• Have access to housing and transportation within the designated city (We do not offer housing accommodations)
• Legally authorized to work in the United States and will not require sponsorship for employment visa status, now or in the future (e.g., H1-B, OPT, etc.)
• Commit to 20 - 40 hours per week (based on individual business area)

Commercial / Digital: Data & Analytics (Onsite: FL)
The Data analytics department at UMLE aims to support all commercial efforts with valuable information for decision making purposes such as trend reports, competitive analysis and a full understanding of the environment on complex sets for big data processing for the label.
How You'll Create:
Special projects to enhance current dashboards.
Support with multi varied analysis in accordance to the team needs.
Weekly consumption reports.
Collecting, cleaning and design of useful dashboards for the team.
Documentation and maintenance of current reports.
Collaboration with all departments within the organization as needed.
Professional presentations in cases where it's needed by the team.

• Knowledge on SQL for data analysis.

Ecommerce (Onsite: FL)
E-commerce department oversees all the design, development, sales and marketing of artist physical products through D2C channels. We run all aspects of artist stores to offer fans the best product and experience.
How You'll Create:
-Sample Management and shipment
-Product set up sheets
-Update marketing calendars, merchandise directory and other department records
-Linkfire docs - resizing images, preparing links, etc.
-Market research on artist merchandising and marketing

-Fluent in

-Moderate use of excel
-Some interest and knowledge in the Latin music space
-Ability to handle multiple tasks at a time and prioritize appropriately

Audience Growth (onsite: FL)
We are focused on building robust, engaged fanbases for our artists through a combination of strategic digital efforts. Here's an overview of our main focus areas:
1. Social Media: We craft tailored social media strategies for each artist, leveraging platforms like Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube to build visibility, strengthen brand identity, and engage fans. This involves creating platform-specific content, planning release schedules, and monitoring trends to keep artist content fresh and relevant.
2. Content Plans: We develop comprehensive content plans that support artist launches, from teasers and album releases to behind-the-scenes and live updates. These plans are designed to deepen audience connection, tell the artist's story, and sustain interest before, during, and after key campaigns.
3. Paid Media Campaigns: Our paid media efforts ensure that artist content reaches the right audiences at the right time. We utilize hyper-targeted advertising on digital platforms, directing budgets toward audiences most likely to engage and convert. This approach boosts visibility and engagement, especially during critical moments like song drops and album releases.
4. Influencer Marketing: We collaborate with influencers and key personalities who resonate with our target audiences to amplify our artists' reach.
5. CRM (Customer Relationship Management): Building long-term fan relationships is essential. Through CRM, we manage superfans and key audience segments, driving engagement through direct communications such as newsletters, exclusive offers, and fan club activities. Website creation and newsletters/blast management for the artists fan database.
How You'll Create:
As an intern with the Audience Growth team at Universal Music Latino, the intern will play an active role in supporting our mission to grow and engage fanbases for our artists. Here are some of the responsibilities and tasks you can expect:
1. Social Media Support: Assist in creating, scheduling, and analyzing social media content across platforms like Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube. You'll also monitor trends and help identify engagement opportunities.
2. Content Planning: Work closely with the team on content calendars, helping to brainstorm ideas, gather assets, and organize release schedules to maximize engagement for key campaigns.
3. Paid Media Campaigns: Support the setup and monitoring of paid media initiatives, learning how to optimize ads and report on key performance metrics.
4. Influencer Research: Help identify influencers that align with our artists' audiences, assist with outreach, and track campaign impact.
5. Audience Insights and CRM: Assist with audience data analysis and CRM initiatives, such as preparing fan newsletters or direct-to-fan campaigns that deepen audience relationships.

1. Social Media Savvy: Strong understanding of social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube) with an eye for trends and emerging content styles that resonate with music fans.
2. Content Creation: Skills in writing, basic graphic design, or video editing would be beneficial for supporting content creation. Creativity and attention to detail are key.
3. Analytical Mindset: Comfort with data analysis and tools like Excel or social media analytics. The ability to interpret insights and identify patterns will help in reporting and campaign optimization.
4. Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, plus the ability to collaborate across teams and interact with influencers and fans authentically.

Label Operations (Onsite: FL)
How You'll Create:
Oversee the coordinates and oversees all operations at a record label, from product management and sales to marketing and A&R.
Work with the Label Operations VP to maintain effective delivery of products & be on top of marketing and commercial campaigns.
