Job Description

This Summer Internship is from May/June through August 30th (start and end dates are flexible based on school schedules) and all candidates must be able to work 40 hours a week, Monday through Friday in the specified location. This position is ideal for a student enrolled in an accredited college or university. A hybrid work structure may or may not be available.

DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION:

The Quality Assurance and Control department is responsible for maintaining SPE applications quality and faster delivery cycles. We have to identify and maintain test execution plans for every release for SPE applications.

The Test Automation Intern will help in developing testing framework, automate test scenarios, and conduct POC for cutting-edge solutions. In addition to this, the Intern will also be responsible for identifying and reporting defects to improve software quality in the development pipeline. The role requires drive to learn any scripting knowledge, perform thorough research on the industry standards and basic understanding of programming languages like Java, Python etc. This role will also focus on venturing into Gen AI in test automation POC.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Perform POC in Gen AI tools and determine pros and cons of its usability
• Develop testing framework using playwright and robot framework Integration automation suite to DevOps pipeline
• Report defects and work with business in improving the quality
• Effective collaboration with cross functional team for troubleshooting and finishing deliverables

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Has a strong background in coding/scripting in Java, Python, vbscripts etc
• Understands and develops test automation framework for any open-source tools
• Understands Generative AI space in test automation
• Must have an excellent problem-solving skill
• Must be proactive in research and finding current industry standards and approaches
• Must be a team player with effective written and communication skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Enrolled in a Master's degree progr in computer science with projects developed in any programming languages
• Familiar with cloud support
• Understands web application backend

The anticipated base salary for this position is $29/hour. This role may also qualify for comprehensive benefits. The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location of the position.
