Job Description

This role will be a full-time, 12-month fixed term contract starting in July 2025 and will be paid London living wage.

The global TV Formats department is looking for a dedicated intern to support the formats marketing team. The department handles the licensing and production of scripted and unscripted IP which is remade around the world.

During the internship, you will be assisting the team in the creation of B2B (business to business) marketing materials, from pitch presentations to helping with artwork.

The day to day involves a wide range of projects that will allow development for the start of your career in Marketing, for example assisting the team when servicing finished programme deals.

You will get the opportunity to collaborate closely with Sony-owned production companies, international producers and broadcasters to collect marketing assets, check clearances, upload files to various SPT internal platforms, liaise with the digital asset management team and publish assets to our sales platform. You will also assist the Home Ent team with digital marketing initiatives including website management.

This is an exciting opportunity to gain insight into a busy, fast-paced marketing team in an ever changing and crucial part of the TV industry and to learn skills from professionals in our global Formats Distribution and Home Entertainment business.

What you'll do:
• Asset Management. You will be gathering marketing materials both on-air and off-air (promos, artwork, social media assets, etc) across scripted and unscripted formats.
• Help the formats marketing team in the creation of pitch presentations, one sheets and miscellaneous creative materials.
• Assist team in building presentations to be used for key internal and external meetings.
• Work alongside line manager on ad-hoc projects including brainstorm sessions, team workshops, Home Entertainment planning meetings.
• Briefing and liaising with design agencies for marketing initiatives including PR, social media and creative campaigns.
• Assistance at screening events and trade markets, compiling and handling invitation lists, researching, sourcing and sending out merchandise, and general team support.
• Maintain various digital sales-facing platforms including trade media websites, the B2B formats website and client screening website, Sony Pictures Connect.
• Keep track of awards data and key facts for all priority formats.
• Help research, create and maintain large-scale marketing bibles summarising key examples and launch strategies from internal and broadcaster-led campaigns: ratings, social media, print and outdoor advertising, etc.
• Track social media activity and contact local PR and marketing teams for information and materials.
• Using internal finance systems including SAP to set up new vendors, raise purchase orders (POs) and manage the PO log, supported by internal team members.
• Keep the Home Entertainment SCHEMA tracker up to date – checking that international markets have supplied title URLs for new releasing titles and catalogue opportunities, helping to ensure pages for each title are built and delivered in a timely fashion.
• Coordinate with agency Allied Global Marketing to ensure timely optimisation of title page links.

What you have:
• Exceptionally organised and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Highly proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Word and Outlook.
• Adobe creative suite (eg. Photoshop) skills, with an interest in design is desirable.
• Strong interpersonal skills to maintain sound working relationships.
• A creative thinker with excellent writing skills, with first class attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• A strong interest in Film and TV, with a desirable interest in unscripted TV.

What you'll learn:

You will be responsible for crucial administrative functions within the global Formats and EMEA Home Entertainment team but also have opportunities for development and involvement in creative processes, strategy, B2B marketing, internal communications and events.

Process
