Sony Pictures Imageworks is seeking an IT Intern!
As an IT Intern, you will support the IT Department by helping to maintain end user hardware, preparing Work From Home packages for end users to work remotely, deploying end user equipment such as computers, monitors, keyboards and mice, moving technology equipment when required, installing software using pre-prepared scripts and participating in inventory maintenance and checking activities. You will also be assigned to certain projects or other initiatives as time permits.
Education, qualifications and experience formal education
• Bachelor's degree, with a preference for Computer Science, Engineering or other technical degree, or currently participating in such a program.
Professional certifications
• CompTIA would be desirable.
Experience
• Experience working in a customer service role
• Experience in customer service techniques
• Basic understanding of personal computer and/or MacBook hardware and software
Skills and responsibilities customer service support
• Receives and handles requests for service, following agreed procedures.
Systems installation and removal
• Follows agreed procedures to perform simple installations, replace consumable items and check the accurate working of installations.
• Documents and reports on work done.
Application Support
• Assists with specified maintenance procedures.
Systems Software
• Installs and tests new versions of system software such as operating systems.
• Contributes to preparation of software implementation procedures with fall back contingency plans.
IT Infrastructure
• Contributes, under supervision, to routine infrastructure operations.
• Gains understanding of infrastructure components and services by following the activities of experienced colleagues.
Asset management
• Uses agreed procedures to maintain an accurate register of assets.
• Performs activities related to the administration of assets.
Other
• Superb attention to detail and ability to work on repetitive tasks.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and customer care skills.
• Excellent written and spoken technical English.
• A true teammate with great communication and interpersonal skills.

The anticipated base salary for this position is $25/hr. The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location of the position.
