Interns may be responsible for any relocation and/or housing expenses.

Kings University starts October 15, 2024, and runs through the 24-25 season!

Job Summary: We are looking for a creative, detail-oriented Graphic Design and Photography Intern with a passion for visual storytelling to join our dynamic team. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in both graphic design and photography within a professional sports environment, contributing to our creative projects and helping bring our brand to life.

Key Responsibilities:
• Work closely with the Creative team to support their initiatives, bringing your unique perspective and creativity to the table
• Transform strategic concepts into visually compelling, original designs that resonate with our target audience
• Utilize your design skills to enhance existing creative materials and ensure they align with our brand identity
• Prepare and optimize design files for various media, ensuring high-quality output
• Actively participate in team brainstorming sessions and design reviews, contributing fresh ideas and insights
• Create visual content for social media, website, and print materials
• Capture high-quality photographs during games, events, and team activities
• Edit and process photographs for various uses, including social media, marketing materials, and team archives
• Assist in maintaining and organizing the team's digital asset library, including both graphic designs and photographs
• Collaborate with marketing and social media teams to develop creative concepts for both design and photography projects

Qualifications
• Currently an upcoming College Junior or Senior preparing to graduate or possess a Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, Photography, or a related field
• Exceptional proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite tools, including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign
• Proficiency in PowerPoint and Keynote is a plus
• Experience with digital photography and photo editing software
• Experience with other Adobe Creative Suite programs, website design, and digital advertising is highly advantageous
• Familiarity with the sports industry and marketing a team or brand is preferred
• Strong portfolio demonstrating both graphic design and photography skills
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Strong time management and multitasking skills
• Creative, resourceful, and problem-solving mindset
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Enthusiastic, creative, and curious personality, eager to explore new design trends and photographic techniques
• Passion for basketball and sports is a plus
• Available to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends for game days and events

Eligibility Requirements

To qualify for Kings University internships, you must be:
• Currently enrolled in college or have graduated within 12 months
• Able to commute to the downtown Sacramento office
• Able to work 25 hours per week
