As a Visual Development Artist, your focus will be guiding the visual direction of an illustration or animated piece to establish tone, design, lighting, choreography and cinematography that communicates the visual narrative of the story. The products we make are tied to larger campaigns for events and promos that spotlight moments in our games.
Responsibilities:
• Create mood boards and storyboards
• Provide Diagrams or Orthographies for direction
• Work on concept art for characters, props and environments
• Create Color Scripts
• Perform paint overs
• Create Illustrations
Required Qualifications:
• Currently enrolled in a college, university or non degree program
• Available to work full-time hours for 10-12 weeks at the indicated office during the summer
• Authorized to work in the US
• Strong foundation in drawing and painting or modeling and CG
Desired Qualifications:
• Understanding of Art, Motion, Timing, Story and Cost.
• Experience with Photoshop or Illustrator
• Experience with Maya
For this role, you'll find success through craft expertise, a collaborative spirit, and decision-making that prioritizes the delight of players. We will certainly be looking at your past studies and experience, but for this role, we also look for dedicated people with a personal relationship with games.
