Video Machine Learning Intern – Master's

San Mateo, CA

What You'll Do:
• Explore cutting-edge AI/ML/DL technologies from both academic and industry sources to enhance the Codecs team's core competencies.
• Bring fresh, innovative thinking and contribute new ideas for potential development projects within the Codecs team.
• Help build the foundation for AI and Codecs fusion technology by working on proof-of-concept prototypes and experimental research.

What We're Looking For:
• Currently enrolled in a Master's degree program, pursuing a degree in Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering.
• Projected to graduate by Spring 2026.
• Strong knowledge of machine learning and deep learning (ML/DL).
• Hands-on experience with ML/DL-related projects or roles, or coursework in data science and machine learning.
• Familiarity with image and video processing technologies, frameworks, and techniques.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as C, C++, and Python.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Eligibility:
• Able to work during one of the following periods: May 19th - August 8th or June 16th - September 5th.
• Must be available for the entire 12-week internship period.
• Open to students who are US citizens or international students with an F-1 visa.
• Relocation assistance is available for eligible candidates.
Our intern positions offer a fixed hourly pay rate. Please note that the pay rate is exclusive to the internship period and may not reflect what pay may look like following the completion of an internship.

At SIE, we consider several factors when setting each role's base pay range, including the competitive benchmarking data for the market and geographic location.

Please note that the base pay range may vary in line with our hybrid working policy and individual base pay will be determined based on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
