About the Team:
At Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE), data plays a crucial role in our business operations, decision-making, and in enhancing our PlayStation products and services. The Technical Services team is dedicated to fostering a culture of responsible and efficient data use, focusing on repair improvement, troubleshooting accuracy, and technical knowledge related to customer product usage.
What You'll Be Doing:
• Implement and support data processes to enhance understanding and adherence to data handling policies, with a strong emphasis on data privacy.
• Install and configure software, and interpret error logs for troubleshooting purposes.
• Apply a good understanding of electronics equipment and tools.
• Produce high-quality work with great attention to detail.
• Perform basic project management tasks, including planning and monitoring progress.
• Synthesize data, identify trends, and solve technical problems.
• Support the repair process and assist our Customer Service team.
What We're Looking For:
• Currently enrolled in a Master's degree program from an accredited institution, with an expected graduation date by Spring 2026.
• Majoring in Engineering or Technology Systems, with an emphasis on business process management and/or technology policy.
• Broad understanding of database concepts.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make recommendations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create clear and concise reports and presentations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and familiarity with project management tools (e.g., Asana, Trello) is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating initiative and a proactive approach.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
Eligibility:
• Able to work full-time (2-3 days a week) in our San Mateo, CA office or fully remote during one of the following periods: May 19th - August 8th or June 16th - September 5th.
• Relocation assistance is available for eligible candidates.
• Must be available for the entire 12-week internship period.
• Open to students who are US citizens or international students with an F-1 visa.
Our intern positions offer a fixed hourly pay rate. Please note that the pay rate is exclusive to the internship period and may not reflect what pay may look like following the completion of an internship.

At SIE, we consider several factors when setting each role's base pay range, including the competitive benchmarking data for the market and geographic location.
Please note that the base pay range may vary in line with our hybrid working policy and individual base pay will be determined based on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
