Job Summary
Assist the public relations department with game-day related activities.
Responsibilities
• Delivery of all game day material to various members of the organization, media, and broadcasters.
• Help manage the press box prior to and after each game.
• Research stats and communicate to broadcasters, television rightsholder graphics person, and Pirates content team during the game.
• Research team and player notes for weekly minor league news and notes that are distributed internally and to the media.
• Write recaps of games for future This Date In Pirates History placements.
• Assist with updating and inputting information for end-of-season minor league review.
• Proofread game notes and assist with updating other parts of the notes.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
• Candidates must be enrolled in an accredited institution.
• Candidates majoring in journalism or sports management.
• Junior, Senior, or Graduate level.
• Previous media relations experience desired.
