Job Description
The Platforms Intern in Station Services will support the continued quality and reliability of news, resources, and guidance made available to Member Station staff via platforms like the PBS Hub and Planning Portal. Working with Station Services and interdepartmentally, this role will help us expand our content offerings and help facilitate the consolidation of other PBS-run platforms.
Key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
• Monitoring new content added to the PBS Hub to ensure adherence to guidelines and best practices
• Assisting with the management of the Hub's user base
• Identifying and preparing content on adjacent platforms for consolidation
• Working with Station Services colleagues and other PBS departments to plan, create, and post new content to the PBS Hub
Skills Intern Will Acquire
• Web content developing, writing, and editing
• CMS management
• Interdepartmental collaboration
• An understanding of the Public Media system
Requirements for success:
• At least 1 year working with a content management system (CMS) like Craft or WordPress
• Experience with a customer relationship management (CRM) platform like Salesforce preferred but not required
• Experience developing, writing, and editing web content preferred but not required
Additional Information:
Time Commitment: May 27, 2025 – August 15, 2025
Compensation: Undergraduate students receive $15/hour, graduate students receive $17/hour
