The Residuals Department handles contractual Guild obligations to talent based on collective bargaining agreements. The department analyzes legal and financial source documents to determine the residual liability in accordance with guild agreements. The department also handles the contractual accounting relating to music royalties, licensed music and other entitlements.

Approximately 75% of the Intern's work will involve: Assisting music senior with reconciliation of incoming cash, downloading royalty statements from outside sources, inputting music royalty and licensing statements/cash received into tracking system, preparing 3rd party statements. Approximately 20% of the Intern's work will involve: assisting the residual group with tv show setups in addition to assisting with monthly and quarterly reporting. Approximately 5% of the Intern's work will involve: research and requesting talent to be added to payment system, assisting with requests for change of address and payee, and assisting with various day-to-day responsibilities as needed (including filing and making labels).

The team's summer format will be hybrid out of our 5555 Melrose Ave office in Los Angeles, CA. They are not looking for a fully remote intern. We do not cover the cost of housing or transportation.

Basic Qualifications:
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (specifically Outlook and Excel).
• Strong analytical skills.
• Strong communication skills
• Strong organizational skills.

Eligibility:
• Internships are available to students who will be Juniors, Seniors or Master's students in the fall of 2023. If you are a graduating Senior, please check our website for full-time job opportunities.
• You must be available to intern full-time (5 days a week/36-40 hours a week) for 10 weeks total starting in June.
• Internships are paid at a competitive standard hourly rate (school credit is optional).

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

The hourly rate for this position is $20.00.

The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York City, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable, as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement.
