Software Engineering Intern, Paramount+ (Summer 2025 - Hybrid LA)

Paramount+ Chromecast Services Group develops and maintains Google Chromecast applications (Web Sender and Receiver.) The group is responsible for implementing new and maintaining existing features, troubleshooting and bug fixes, as well as ensuring an optimal user experience for our users.
* Learn and understand the existing processes and workflows
* Assist in troubleshooting and resolution existing bugs
* Assist in development of new and maintenance of existing features
* Assist in creating and maintaining documentation
* Participate in scrum ceremonies

Working knowledge of the following technologies:

Front End: TypeScript, Javascript, HTML, CSS, React, Vue

Backend: Next.js, PHP, Node.js, Docker

IDE: VS Code, PHPStorm

Nice to have: Chromecast CAF SDK

Qualifications:
• Participates in translation of product concepts into elegant product interaction experiences on assigned projects
• Executes well-defined product design activities
• Follows design procedures and standards, typically for assigned portions of project components
• Developing ability to understand how designs impact and can be adjusted based on user data
• Solves design challenges for semi-routine project components
• Escalates and may identify schedule and other design process risks
• Interacts within team to create compelling product design features
• Assists on product design teams by completing requested assignments
• Developing familiarity with UI/UX product design
• Familiarity with foundational UI/UX design
• Experience with fundamental prototyping and user research

Eligibility:
• This internship is open to Master's students who are returning to school in the fall of 2025. If you are a graduating Senior, please check our website for full-time job opportunities closer to your graduation date.
• You must be available to intern full-time (5 days a week/36-40 hours a week) for 10 weeks total starting in June.
• Interns will be required to work hybrid or fully on-site for the duration of the program.
• Internships are paid at a competitive standard hourly rate (school credit is optional).
• Employment eligibility to work with Paramount in the United States is required as the company does not engage in sponsorship for internships.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

The hourly rate for this position is $38.00 - 43.00.

The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
