Job Description

Internships are available for qualified students studying broadcast journalism, video production, and other communication degrees. Several departments may choose to accept interns, including but not necessarily limited to: News, Creative Services, Production, and Community Development.

Nexstar Media Group Distribution Group is looking for a paid part-time Intern to join our team for the Fall 2024 Semester!

Internship Description

Learn how the Distribution Group works from start to finish by having the opportunity to work with both the Sales and Finance teams. Gain visibility into deal prep and negotiations with the Sales Team. Once signed see how the deals flow through the billing system and into financial models and reports.

Duties & Responsibilities
• Work with Sales team for deal preparation
• Assist with research on upcoming deals
• Learn contractual language to assist billing team with entering data into billing system
• Work with Cash Analyst to prepare daily cash recs
• Run reports in billing system (Revenue, AR Aging, Cash…)
• Create reports in excel to analyze monthly and quarterly variances
• Assist with building out monthly reporting and analysis

Requirements
• Finance, Accounting, or related major
• Basic knowledge of excel
• Motivated with desire to learn
