Business Development
As a Business Development & Strategy intern for NBCU News Group, you will work closely with our business unit leaders (CNBC, NBC News, MSNBC, Today Show) and senior management to facilitate decision making through strategic and financial analysis as well as through day-to-day negotiations with key partners. Driving projects from concept stage to conclusion, the team contributes directly to the operational excellence across our business in addition to the development and implementation of NBCU News Group's growth strategy. You will also be joining a high-profile team to support News' traditional businesses and partnerships as well as organic and inorganic investment opportunities, working in tandem with individual business teams.
Distribution Strategy & Partnerships
The Peacock Distribution Strategy & Partnerships team sits within the broader NBCU Direct-to-Consumer group. Working directly with multiple stakeholders across the organization, we define and execute the distribution and partnership strategy for Peacock. Our group is focused on the establishment of new distribution opportunities, partnerships, and business development efforts in key audience growth areas and emerging market categories to drive Peacock growth - we are looking for an intern to help support these exciting initiatives.
Qualifications
Basic Requirements:
• Must be actively enrolled in an MBA degree-granting program at an accredited institution during the length of the program.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship by NBCUniversal.
• Must be willing to work in New York, NY.
Desired Characteristics:
• Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above.
For Business Development:
• Strong interest in the media industry; knowledge of news is a plus.
• Commitment to building an inclusive work environment.
• Ability to multitask and highly organized.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Critical thinking with outstanding attention to detail.
• Self-starter and fast learner, with ability to work self-guided as well as collaboratively.
• Thorough analytical and financial skills, including financial modelling.
For Distribution Strategy & Partnerships:
• Experience gathering and analyzing research across internal and external. industry sources; ability to clearly articulate the so what.
• Strong presentation skills.
• Experience with financial modeling and analysis.
The hourly rate for these internships is $30.00-$40.00.
