Job Description
To facilitate and provide administrative and operational support on theatrical marketing of Universal Pictures films releases in South Asia region.The intern will get an insight into how Universal films are distributed and marketed, including adapting and localising Studio level strategies for South Asia audiences. The intern will also develop content creation skills, ideating engaging material for different markets and platforms, and facilitating creative reviews and asset servicing for our film releases. The intern will also have opportunities to collaborate and communicate with diverse teams in and outside of the organisation, as will be analyzing campaign performance metrics to optimize strategies. Additionally, the intern will stay abreast of industry trends and knowledge in film marketing.
Your responsibilities may span the following areas:
Work closely with Regional Marketing team to support the proper execution of film releases in markets across the region.
• Liaise with Home Office and licensee partners on marketing-related matters, not limited to campaign planning, publicity, and promotional activities
• Service marketing assets and materials to partners, local offices, and vendors
• Brief vendor and vet localisation work for pan-regional campaigns
• Facilitate approvals of publicity and creative requests between local offices and Home Office
• Consolidate campaign marketing reports during and after release
• Support region's merchandise needs including gathering & submission of orders, facilitating creative approvals, and managing delivery
• Contribute insights and ideas in creative brainstorms for marketing strategies
• Monitor market trends and prepare any ad-hoc reports as needed
• General data and information gathering, collating, and reporting
• Assist with presentation decks
• Assist with administrative sales and distribution coordination as required
• Ad-hoc administrative support as required such as travel management for the team
Qualifications
• Passion for films, with a keen interest in functionalities of marketing for filmed entertainment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Meticulous and detailed oriented
• Able to take initiative, multi-task and work independently
• Experience or knowledge in marketing or relevant fields would be beneficial
• Proficient in MS Office including Excel, PowerPoint, Word; Photoshop will be a plus
Please note that this is a full-time 6 month internship opportunity from June 2025 - January 2026 for undergraduate students.
