Job Description
ResponsibilitiesFall 2022 Internship Program:

• Program Dates: September 19 – December 9, 2022
• Time Commitment: 16-24 hours per week. Exact schedule to be determined based on business need. We will do our best to accommodate course schedules.

Universal Studio Group (USG) encompasses NBCUniversal's television production studios: Universal Television (UTV), Universal Content Productions (UCP), NBCUniversal International Studio, and Universal Television Alternative Studio (UTAS). USG produces over 100 scripted and unscripted series across multiple countries around the globe for buyers in broadcast, cable, and streaming. Network partners include NBC, Peacock, Netflix, Amazon, Hulu, Apple, HBO, BBC, ITV, Channel 4, CTV, ABC, FOX, and ABC among many others. As part of USG, Stamford Media Center (SMC) is a full-service production facility and is the home to some of NBCU's most popular daytime programming including Maury, The Steve Wilkos Show, and Judge Jerry based out of Stamford, Conneticut.
Areas of placement may include, but are not limited to:
Virtual Opportunities:
• Business Affairs: support business & legal affairs departments by keeping track of all deal points, tracking options & deadlines, talent fees, insurance and more
• Programming & Development (Domestic & International): script coverage, maintain talent and project databases, and general administrative support
• Marketing & Events: create campaigns & strategies, review & analyze consumer data, develop & design marketing collateral for pitch meetings, and participate in brainstorm & strategy meetings.
• Publicity & Communications: press junkets, researching media outlets & contacts, and compiling coverage reports
• TV Music: assist with music clearances and licensing for television shows and evaluate new music submissions for potential use
• Production Finance: Ownership of digital records keeping process for our shows. P-card management, invoice coding/processing, creating or maintaining cheat sheets for important show info.
• Creative Acquisition: help team evaluate intellectual property and strategize on how to package material with USG, engage and learn about talent deals
• Stamford Media Center Digital: Interns can expect to assist the SMC Digital team with all aspects of digital media marketing for all productions and pilots at SMC. Interns' responsibilities may include graphic design, video editing & production, social media management, digital production tasks as needed, asset delivery, competitive analysis, and archival of existing content.
In-Person Opportunities: must be available to work from Universal City, CA to be considered for the below opportunities
• Programming & Development (Domestic): script coverage, maintain talent and project databases, and general administrative support
Qualifications/Requirements
Basic Qualifications
Must be actively enrolled in a degree-granting program at an accredited institution during the length of the program.
Current class standing of sophomore or above (30 credits).
Must be authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship by NBCUniversal.
If selected for a virtual internship, must be working from a location within the United States during all hours worked.
If selected for an in-person internship, must be willing to work in the designated city and state as mentioned in the job responsibilities section.
Additional Job Requirements
Must submit an attestation disclosing your COVID-19 vaccination status and, if partially or fully vaccinated, submitting your vaccination record no later than 7 days following commencement of employment.
Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 at the commencement of employment or must undergo regular COVID-19 testing if Company determines your job position requires accessing an NBCUniversal worksite.
Must be willing to adhere to all Company COVID-19 workplace safety policies and protocols.
Desired Characteristics
Students with class standing of junior or above preferred
Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above
Passion for television entertainment space
Strong interest in the media industry

Excellent verbal and written communication
Previous internship experience within a corporate setting
