Overview

The Intern - Spring Training Day of Game will be at the Phoenix facility home for the Milwaukee Brewers Spring Training games. This individual will work closely with the Manager - Spring Training Business Operations on day-to-day business operations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

• Assist with Group Ticket Sales
• Assist with Sponsorship Sales and activations
• Assist with Pocket schedule distribution
• Assist Box office managers with duties as assigned
• Assist with game day activities as follows:
• Greet fans and Provide Guest Service to fans based on questions presented
• Lead Game Day promotions ensuring that team is sticking to the program
• Game Day staff duties will include all in-game promotions, such as Sausage Races, program sales, customer service, ticket scanning, scoreboard duties and other task as assigned
• Ticket office representative; Sell tickets to fans at ticket window and/or scan tickets at entrance gates
• Reconciles day of game sales reports for accounting in the ticketing system.
• Maintains current knowledge of account functions, discount codes, price types, payment codes, and problem solving or research-oriented commands in the ticketing system.
• Game Day staff duties will include all in-game promotions, such as Sausage Races, program sales, customer service, ticket scanning, scoreboard duties and other task as assigned
• Assist in all day of game promotions such as theme days or events
• Sound system operator in charge of playing music during before and after games, during innings, pitching changes and in game promotions
• Scoreboard operator in charge of line score, line up, at bat notifications and digital effects
• Ability to work well with co-workers and towards team goals

Qualifications in order to perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
• Previous experience in customer service is preferred, but not required.
• A friendly, courteous and tactful demeanor.
• A professional appearance and demeanor, dress code policy applies
• Problem solving, organizational, and multi-tasking skills.
• Punctual and reliable attendance, ability to work all home games
• Strong ability to work well with co-workers and supervisors in a team environment.
• Experience with Tickets.com preferred but not required

Education and/or Experience
One-year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Other Skills and Abilities

Bilingual skills are a plus but not required

Language Skills

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Work Hours

Hours vary according to the game and event schedule. Maximum of 30 hours per week.
