Overview

Summary This position will provide support to the Milwaukee Brewers' efforts primarily in the areas of player information collection. Areas of primary involvement include professional scouting, amateur scouting, and video operations. Residency in the Milwaukee metro area required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Other duties may be assigned.
• Review, edit, and upload scouting video to the Club's proprietary player information system
• Maintain updated coverage of publicly available player information from online sources to be stored within the department's proprietary database
• Assist the scouting operations administrator with player information processing
• Assist scouting and administrative staff with preparation and execution of the Major League Amateur Draft

• Must possess strong academic record
• Must possess strong attention to detail and exhibit the capability to multi-task effectively

Education and/or Experience

Qualified applicant must be pursuing or recently completed a bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; preference will be given to those applicants who are currently a member of their college or university's baseball or softball team.

Computer Skills

The individual must be proficient using Microsoft office software including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Internet Explorer/Google Chrome.

Language Skills

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Work Hours

Business hours are Monday – Friday 9 am – 5pm, however, additional hours will be required on weekends, evenings, and some holidays.
