Job Description
Are you a current college junior or senior with a passion for media and marketing? Ready to immerse yourself in the dynamic world of consulting and help clients grow and transform their businesses? MediaLink, a UTA company, is excited to offer a Summer Internship Program designed to provide you with real-world experience, industry insights, and the opportunity to work alongside top professionals shaping the future of media and marketing.
Why MediaLink?
As the media and marketing industry's most trusted and connected advisor, we specialize in growth and transformation for our clients (brands, agencies, media companies, ad tech companies and investors). At MediaLink, we offer more than just an internship, we offer an experience that will challenge you, expand your skills, and prepare you for a career in media, marketing or consulting. Our Summer Internship Program will immerse you in our fast-paced industry and expose you to a variety of clients and projects, all while working alongside our expert consultants.
Hands-On Industry Experience:
You'll kick off your summer supporting the firm as we prepare for Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity – identifying key information across Fortune 500s and developing briefing books to help prepare our clients. Through staffing assignments, you will then join client teams and be staffed on real client engagements where your background, opinion, and insights matter. You'll assist with market research, situation analysis, competitive benchmarking, go-to-market strategy and more. If you're interested in understanding how businesses really make decisions, this is the place to find out.
Real-World Impact:
This isn't your typical internship. You'll collaborate across teams, contribute to projects addressing client needs, and interact with clients via status calls and readouts. Whether you're analyzing industry trends, participating in a brainstorm, or assisting with day-to-day project management, your contributions will have a direct impact on our company.
Business Acumen Development:
The internship program concludes with a capstone project where teams of 3-4 interns develop a new business pitch for a company that plays a key part in the media ecosystem and present how MediaLink could service an unmet need or solve a specific problem for the potential client. You'll study the client, the market, the opportunity, and share your recommendations with senior leaders at the firm – providing you with the opportunity to build a strong foundation in strategy, analytics, and client service.
Build a Resilient Network:
Interning at MediaLink is an opportunity to build lasting relationships with peers and mentors. You'll work alongside industry leaders and other interns who share your passion, all while building a network that can serve as a foundation for your future career.
What We're Looking For:
• Passion for the Media and Marketing Industry: You're curious with a desire to learn, absorb information and trends from colleagues, trade sources and the broader marketing network.
• Strong Interpersonal Skills: You're personable, service-minded, and can collaborate effectively with others.
• Reliability and Good Judgment: You're dependable and possess sound decision-making abilities.
• Outstanding Communication: You're able to articulate ideas clearly, both verbally and in writing.
• Adaptability: You're a motivated self-starter and thrive in fast-paced environments.
• Attention to Detail: You're organized, accurate, and capable of meeting tight deadlines.
• Tech-Savvy: You're proficient in Microsoft Office including PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
What You'll Get:
• Career Building Experience: This internship is designed to prepare you for a career in media, marketing, or consulting. You'll support MediaLink across various client engagements, participate in our learning and development programming, and gain hands-on experience through daily tasks and special projects.
• Competitive Pay: This internship offers compensation of $18.50 per hour.
• Location: Opportunities are available in New York City or Los Angeles.
How to Apply:
• Application Deadline: December 1, 2024
• Eligibility: Open to current juniors and seniors across all declared majors and degree programs (media, marketing, advertising and/or business preferred)
• Program Start Date: May 27, 2025
