About the Role & Program
The Franchise Marketing team at Lucasfilm is responsible for maintaining the Star Wars Franchise as a 365 d/y brand. Made of up of a team of experienced marketers, we are responsible for developing the overall brand strategy, planning and execution behind the Star Wars franchise, both domestically and internationally.
The approximate dates of this in-person internship are June 2025-August 2025 in San Francisco, CA.
What You Will Do
As an intern on our team, you will gain first-hand knowledge how to manage a global brand as well as how to launch upcoming streaming and theatrical releases.
On any given day, you might:
Help coordinate events and toolkits as needed
Become acquainted with Lucasfilm's location and history to help with tours for outside guests and VIPs
Assist with presentation prep on PowerPoint & Keynote
Manage and fulfill asset requests
Organize and maintain storage/swag rooms and inventory of prizes and mailings
Coordinate meeting scheduling
Assist in Organizing the international team database and documents
Required Qualifications and Skills
Please apply if you have/are :
Comfortable and professional communicating via phone and email
Proficient in Google Suite, Microsoft Office Suite, Apple Keynote and database management
Inquisitive, anxious to learn and does not shy away from ''grunt work''
Strong time management skills; Ability to multi-task and prioritize.
Proven ability to work autonomously and in team settings with a positive, pro-active attitude
Preferred Qualifications
It would also be great if you have/are:
A strong Interest and or prior experience in film/entertainment industry
Interest in International Markets
Social media savvy
A pulse and interest on current entertainment news
Education
Current Junior or Senior pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Media, or related degree
Eligibility Requirements & Program Information
Candidates for this opportunity MUST meet all of the below requirements:
Be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree taking at least one class at time of application OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship. Current Disney Interns, College, International, or Culinary Program Participants: You may only work for ONE consecutive year (12 months) in any combination of an internship and/or program.
Be at least 18 years of age
Possess unrestricted work authorization
Additional Information
Must be able to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the internship
The approximate dates of this internship are early June 2025- August 2025
Must be fully available between to work during standard business hours, as well as flexibility to work some evening/weekend events as needed
Must provide own housing and reliable transportation during the internship in the San Francisco, CA area
