Internship Summary/Description:

KTTC Television in Rochester, MN is searching for candidates to be our next newsroom interns. Successful candidates will have a drive to learn more about all aspects of broadcast including reporting, producing, marketing, digital and more. Our newsroom interns gain valuable real world experience. This is a part-time, paid internship.

KTTC Interns will be responsible for learning and then executing a variety of tasks in the news department, such as editing, writing for broadcast and digital platforms, assisting in show production, and even shooting video.

Qualifications/Requirements:
- Qualified candidates must be currently enrolled in college and be at a junior or senior level. Candidates must also be earning college credit by completing our internship program.
- Students must be reliable and on time.
- Students must be self-motivated and eager to learn more about local news and how a newsroom operates.
- Students must have strong writing skills for both broadcast and digital platforms.
- Prior non-linear editing knowledge is a plus.
- Ability to maintain a positive work environment by behaving in a manner in which you work well with staff, our sources/interviewee subjects, and viewers.
