LOCATION: KFOR-TV

POSITION TITLE: News Intern

REPORTS TO: News Director

PURPOSE/REASON FOR THE POSITION: The primary responsibility is to assist the newsroom with the gathering of information and production of newscasts.

PRINCIPAL FUNCTIONS:

Candidate should have a basic understanding of every news process (producing a newscast, shooting a news story, editing a news story, writing a news story, ENG operations, assignment desk operations, prompter operations, control room operations, and web operations.)

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

Candidate must be a full-time student, enrolled in a college or university with a focus in Broadcast Journalism.

Requirements:
Complete all hours required, conduct themselves in a business-like manner, wear business appropriate clothing. Interns are not personal assistants for any KFOR employee.
