Media Genome Analyst Student Intern (Unpaid-Remote)
Katch is an entertainment data analytics startup that provides marketers and content producers with unique content and audience insights derived from the Katch Media Genome. Katch was created because Hollywood is in trouble: too many choices have consumers frustrated deciding what to watch. Meanwhile, streaming services are desperately competing for subscribers, with platforms evolving quickly.
Enter the Katch Media Genome - a comprehensive approach to analyzing content. By breaking films and series down into their most minute details, the “genes”, we are able to understand the way that these pieces combine to create the “DNA” of a story in order to derive profound insight into connecting content and audiences. Designed by Dr. Nolan Gasser, architect of the original Pandora Music Genome, the genome is the foundation of Katch’s analytics and recommendation technology.
The Katch University internship program offers film and media students the opportunity to expand their understanding of content, while gaining the tools and personal connections required to excel in the entertainment industry. Our Media Genome Analyst student-interns help our team by analyzing film and TV with our Genome. Student-interns learn from weekly industry speakers, meet with the Katch team, and network with our large intern class & alumni network throughout their time with us.
