About Us

Independent Artist Group (IAG) was launched upon the merger of Agency for the Performing Arts (APA) and Artist Group International (AGI) in the summer of 2023. IAG combines the breadth of APA's renowned full-service representation capabilities as a legacy Talent and Literary agency in the entertainment industry, with AGI's reputation as the premiere independent music touring agency with a roster of superstar stadium and arena acts, as well as cutting-edged emerging music and comedy artists. The result is a powerful new voice in full-service artist representation that combines our entrepreneurial passion to create ground-breaking partnerships for our clients across multiple business lines and platforms, with our renowned deal making acumen and rich industry relationships our agents provide.

What We Are Looking For

Duties

We are seeking Interns for our 2024 summer internship program. This paid opportunity equips interns with the foundational knowledge, resources, practical skills, and network to pursue a long-term career at Independent Artist Group.

Interns will learn about all aspects of the talent agency experience and shadow agents and coordinators, allowing them to learn more about the type of work these roles do and how that work contributes to the overall operation of our Agency. Additionally, interns will develop a project to be presented at the completion of the program demonstrating their understanding of the entertainment industry and the work that IAG does.

• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate with employees, executives, and clients at all levels.
• Proficient with relevant technology (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Impeccable initiative and follow through, including the ability to initiate projects, develop timelines, and meet deadlines.
• Must be able to maintain a high level of discretion.

Education And Experience
• A sincere interest in artist representation within the entertainment industry.
• Available to participate for the full duration of the program dates: June 3 – August 9, with a one week break from July 1 – 7.
• Ability to commit to working twenty-four (24) hours per week, spread across two (3) days a week for nine (9) weeks
• Ability to participate in an in-person panel interview at the desired IAG office.
• Ability to work in-person at the assigned office.
