Job Description
Illumination is seeking a Storyboard Artist Intern for Summer 2025 to participate in a portfolio building mentorship opportunity. If you are somebody that is creative, never stops doodling, and likes to make people laugh then this is the internship for you!
Responsibilities & Learning:
• Work closely with mentors to deliver a portfolio project from concept to finish
• Ensure that storyboards align with creative ambitions, vision, and style
• Participate in brainstorming sessions with storyboard artists
• Prepare rough drafts/thumbnails
• Take creative direction and incorporate feedback into revised work
• Gather reference material for projects
Craft:
• Dynamic drawings
• Biting comedic sensibilities
• Versatility
• Amazing storytelling abilities
• Comfort in creative collaboration with peers and mentors
Qualifications:
• Availability to work 40 hours per week for 8 weeks
• Students returning to College or University in the fall are eligible to apply
• Preferred majors: Storyboarding, Art, Entertainment Art, Animation, Entertainment Design, Illustration
• Must apply with a storyboard portfolio
• Must have a passion for the animation industry
• Must be authorized to work int he United States without visa sponsorship by the company.
The salary for this position is $18.00/hour
