Summer Intern - Production Assistant & Archival

Job Description

Illumination is seeking a Production Assistant & Archival Intern for Summer 2024 to work closely with our Production and Archival teams. We are looking for a detail oriented individual, who can multi-task and provide support over many films. The intern should have strong communication skills and be self motivated to grow. This is an exciting opportunity that will give the intern a look behind production within our Santa Monica Headquarters.

Responsibilities
• Provide production support for the Visual Development, Story and/or Script teams and remote artists
• Organize and process artwork across shows, shorts, and any ancillary animation pieces, while working with the Supervisors to understand the daily and weekly priorities
• Upload and catalog assets into a Digital Asset Management system.
• Assist with various database cleanup projects.
• Support the crew's daily priorities on all Illumination productions and projects
• Additional responsibilities as needed

Qualifications
• Available to work 40 hours per week for 8 weeks, both in-office and WFH
• Students returning to College or University in the fall are eligible to apply
• Preferred major(s): Digital Media Production/Film, Animation or Communications
• Highly detail oriented; able to handle complex instructions with diligence and follow-through
• Good communication skills, self-reliant and motivated by the process
• Strong experience with Outlook, Zoom, and Microsoft Office (particularly Excel and Word) and working knowledge of Photoshop required. Experience with After Effects, Filemaker, or Final Draft a plus.
• Must be authorized to work int he United States without visa sponsorship by the company.

Requirements
• Must have the ability to be in the Santa Monica studio 2-3 days a week without relocation assistance from the company.

The salary for this position is $17.28/hour
