We Are…

The ESPN Sports Marketing team manages the overall consumer marketing and advertising strategies for ESPN sports properties. Our portfolio includes various professional and NCAA sports including NFL, NBA, NHL, MLB, Golf, Soccer, UFC, Formula 1, MLS, Boxing, XFL, College Football and College Basketball.

This role will work closely with ESPN's professional sports categories specifically and support in the execution and implementation of various marketing campaigns which could include MLB, Golf, and Soccer . In addition, the Sports Marketing intern will collaborate with various departments and stakeholders across the organization including the creative, research, and programming teams.

A Day in the Life:
• Support Sports Marketing team with the management of projects and ensuring deadlines are met
• Support team members with research of industry trends
• Proactive involvement in Sports Marketing team functions, including team and specific project meetings
• Collaborate with other groups within and outside the Marketing organization to help drive cross department learnings and uncover opportunities

What You Bring To T he Role:
• An eagerness to think outside of the box and innovate within strategy
• Fundamental understanding of the ESPN portfolio, including its DTC product ESPN+.
• Sports knowledge including both a fan and business perspective
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Strong writing and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:
• Genuine interest and finger on the pulse of cultural news and content i.e. music, fashion etc.
• Experience in Sports Marketing
• Detail oriented self-starter with outstanding interpersonal skills, both verbal and written
• Appreciation for industry trends, new technologies and unique storytelling
• Strong understanding of the latest trends, features and opportunities within the Social Media landscape.
• Able to handle multiple projects simultaneously
• Basic knowledge of marketing principles
• Sports knowledge as it rel ates to Soccer, Golf and MLB

Required Education:
• Enrolled as a junior, senior or graduate student in an accredited college/university in the semester prior to the internship .

Internship Eligibility:
• Must be enrolled in a college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program
OR ha ve graduated within the last 6 months
OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Professional Internship .
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Must not have completed one year of continual employment on a Disney in ternship or program
• Must possess unrestricted work authorization

Program Dates: The a pproximate dates are September through December 2022 . Interns will work 40 hours per week throughout the internship and must be fully available.

Work Environment: This is a remote internship.
