GAMEPLAY PROGRAMMER INTERN
What You'll Do
As a Gameplay Engineering Intern on the Fortnite Ecosystem's Framework team you will help bring new gameplay systems and features to life that allow our creators to build amazing experiences for our players to enjoy. You will be part of a multidisciplinary team and will focus on the implementation of an in-progress feature.
In this role, you will
• Learn how gameplay features and systems that underpin Fortnite Creative and Unreal Editor for Fortnite (UEFN) function
• Learn Verse, our new programming language for the Metaverse
• Implement, augment and maintain those same features and systems using C++, Blueprint, and Verse
• Collaborate with a globally diverse team of developers consisting of design, art, QA, and production
• Learn and follow production processes that allow for smooth development practices
What we're looking for
• Interest in gameplay programming
• Interest in game engine technologies
• A desire to develop strong software development skills
• Good interpersonal and communication skills, with demonstrated ability to communicate competently in English
• The ability to react and respond effectively to constructive feedback
• A flexible approach to development and willingness to apply out-of-the-box thinking and approaches to rapidly evolving software
This internship has a flexible start date in 2025. Recruitment will be ongoing until teams find an ideal match.
