ENGINE PROGRAMMER INTERN
What You'll Do
We are looking for an Software Developer intern passionate about creating world-class, industry leading game engine technologies across a variety of operating systems (MacOS, iOS, Linux, etc). You'll be given challenging projects over the work term. These projects will allow you the opportunity to gain new insights into cross-platform compatibility. If you want to build something Epic, this is the opportunity for you!
In this role, you will
• Investigate and resolve issues that impact the Unreal Editor development experience
• Leverage various tools to investigate memory utilization and performance in Unreal Engine across a variety of platforms (MacOS, iOS, Linux).
• Work closely with teams at Epic to improve the workflows of the Engine
• Contribute innovative and original ideas towards aspects of the platform development
What we're looking for
• Degree work in CS or related fields
• Strong knowledge and skills with either C++ or C
• Experience in debugging, ideally, but not required on operating systems other than Windows
• Experience or interest in optimizations and/or performance/memory profiling
• Experience or interest in working with MacOS, iOS, and/or Linux
This internship has a flexible start date in 2025. Recruitment will be ongoing until teams find an ideal match.
