About the Role & ProgramABC11 in Raleigh-Durham is looking for a summer Marketing Intern to support the premier local news brand – ABC11 Eyewitness News! In addition to covering local and national news stories, ABC11 provides hours of informative and entertaining content on multiple screens. We connect audiences to all that content!
What You Will Do
During this internship, you will be working with our marketing department to develop strategies and content to reach more people in the Raleigh-Durham-Fayetteville area with marketing messages for our ABC11 platforms!
• You could be writing, producing, and editing content for our station's platforms – including, but not limited to, TV, web, print, and social media
• You'll be a hard-working ambassador for the TV station, representing us at lively community events and activations
• Identifying new opportunities to connect with audiences on emerging platforms for connected TV, streaming, social media, and in-person events
• You will be involved in all facets of creative execution, from research and concept to pre and post-production
• Learn to become a production whiz, by getting hands-on experience with writing, shooting, and editing promotional videos
• Supporting synergy projects with Disney, ABC, ABC News, ESPN, Jeopardy, Wheel of Fortune, and other adjacent content brands
• Using research data to determine creative strategies for developing new audience
• Supports marketing department with onsite experiential marketing at events and festivals
Required Qualifications & Skills
• A strong passion for video editing and graphic design (proficiency with Adobe Premiere & Photoshop is vital). You are eager to pick up a camera and hit record.
• Passion for all forms of media – broadcast, digital, social, print, and out-of-home
• Graphic design capability in crafting ads, logos, and marketing messages
• Available to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends as needed
• Strong communication and writing skills
• A hard-working professional who is an organized multitasker who strives to competently balance different tasks, as well as an outstanding teammate
Eligibility Requirements & Program Information:
Candidates for this opportunity MUST meet all of the below requirements:
• Be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree taking at least one class at time of application OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship.
• Current Disney Interns, College, International, or Culinary Program Participants: You may only work for ONE consecutive year (12 months) in any combination of an internship and/or program.
• Be at least 18 years of age
• Possess unrestricted work authorization
Additional Information:
• Able to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the internship
• The approximate dates of this internship are May/June 2025 through August/September 2025
• Availability to work part-time hours (approximately 20 hours per week) for the duration of the internship, working flexible hours, including nights and weekends (as needed).
• Able to provide own housing for the duration of internship program in the Durham, NC area
• Able to provide reliable transportation to/from work

The pay rate for this role in California is $22.00 per hour.
